In the third quarter of 2024, the top travel and local apps in Europe showcased varying performance metrics. Data from Sensor Tower reveals intriguing trends in downloads, active users, and revenue for these apps.

Booking.com: Hotels & Travel saw a steady decline in weekly downloads from approximately 682K in early July to around 399K by the end of September. Active users also dropped from about 19.2M at the start of the quarter to 16.4M towards the end.

Airbnb experienced a similar downward trend in downloads, starting at 529K and falling to 345K by the end of September. The number of active users decreased from 9.5M to 7.9M over the same period.

Yandex Navigator maintained a relatively consistent revenue stream, with weekly earnings hovering around $8K to $9K. Downloads peaked mid-quarter at 206K and then tapered off to 151K. Active users showed a slight decline from 4.7M to 4.2M.

Flightradar24 Flight Tracker exhibited notable revenue fluctuations, with a peak of approximately $314K in early September. Downloads increased to 362K mid-quarter before dropping to 200K. Active users varied, reaching a high of 1.7M in early August and then decreasing to 1.3M by the end of the quarter.

Google Earth downloads remained relatively stable, starting at 216K and closing at 199K. Active users showed minor fluctuations, maintaining an average of around 1.7M throughout the quarter.
